The Soldotna Chamber of Commerce will meet at noon Tuesday at the Riverside House. John Parker of the Kenai Peninsula Economic Development District (EDD) will be the featured speaker. For more information, call Shanon Hamrick at 262-9814.
Dan Fauske of Alaska Housing Finance Corporation will speak at the Kenai Chamber of Commerce meeting at noon Wednesday at Paradisos. For more information, call 283-7989.
The North Peninsula chamber meeting at noon Jan. 29 at North Kenai Baptist Church will feature Karen Kester of the North Peninsula Recreation Service Area. For more information, call Fred Miller at 776-8555.
Incorporation workshop slated
The Small Business Development Center will sponsor a workshop titled "Frequently Asked Questions about Incorporating."
Dale Dolifka, attorney at law, will walk participants through the process of selecting the form of business that best fits their needs. Dolifka has been practicing law on the peninsula since 1975 and will be available for questions after the workshop.
The workshop will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. today in the SBDC office, Suite 16, in the Red Diamond Center. The fee is $15. For more information or to register, call Bunny Kishaba at 262-7497.
Job Shadow hosts wanted
Job Shadow assists area students in choosing a career path by allowing them to visit a business for the day. Approximately 50 percent of Kenai Peninsula high school seniors remain in the area after graduation. Job Shadow is sponsored by the Kenai Chamber of Commerce, Kenai Central High School and Peninsula Job Center. Businesses interested in hosting a student Feb. 11. for Job Shadow Day should call the Kenai chamber at 283-7989.
