The Skyview High School boys basketball team dropped a nonconference game to Bartlett Saturday in Soldotna.
Rich Shirnberg led the Panthers with 10 points.
Bartlett jumped out to an early lead, taking a 20-6 advantage after the first quarter of play.
Homer boys 63, Chugiak 58
The Mariners took advantage of some extra trips to the foul line to beat Chugiak in a nonconference game Saturday in Homer.
Homer went 19-for-37 from the free-throw line while Chugiak was 12-for-19. Justin Smith led the mariners with 23 points while Jeremy Andrews scored 15 and Luke Gilbert netted 12.
Brian Niedermeyer was Chugiak’s high-scorer with 14 points.
Ninilchik boys 63, Seldovia 40
The Ninilchik Wolverines boys team posted a Peninsula Conference win by beating the Seldovia Sea Otters 63-40 Friday at Seldovia.
The Wolverines limited the Sea Otters to only 11 points in the first half and were able to withstand a 23 point outburst in the third period by Seldovia for the win.
Austin Vanderford paced the Wolverines with 17 points, while Jesse Leman added 15 points.
Colton Collier scored 20 points for Seldovia.
Seward boys 68, Su-Valley 51
The Seward Seahawks notched a 68-51 home win against the Su-Valley Rams Friday at Seward.
Seward used a big third quarter to take command of the game en route to the win. The Seahawks outscored the Rams 25-16 in the third quarter.
Coty Beck pumped in a game-high 20 points and Isaac Elhard added 10 points to lead the Seahawks.
Travis Clark had 15 points to lead Su-Valley.
Barrow boys 77, Cook Inlet Academy 41
The Cook Inlet Academy Eagles dropped a 77-41 non-conference game to the Barrow Whalers Friday at Barrow.
Barrow jumped out to an early 17-6 lead by the end of the first quarter and kept the pressure on for the rest of the game.
Nate Byrd scored 13 points and Jeremy Franchino pitched in eight points to lead the Eagles.
John Miller III drained four 3-pointers and scored 26 points to lead the Whalers.

Allison Horazdovsky paced Homer with 14 points. Sarah Watzke led Chugiak with 11.
Ninilchik girls 61, Seldovia 36
The Ninilchik Wolverines girls basketball team beat the Seldovia Sea Otters 61-36 in Peninsula Conference play Friday at Seldovia.
The Wolverines used a balanced scoring attack and outscored Seldovia in every quarter for the win. Kendra Moerlein led Ninilchik with 13 points.
Jennifer Giles and Naomi Gallien each scored 10 points to lead Seldovia.
Barrow girls 49, Cook Inlet Academy 39
The Barrow girls defeated the visiting Cook Inlet Academy Eagles 49-39 in non-conference play Friday at Barrow.
Melissa Moffis scored 21 points and Brooke Forsi had 12 points to lead the Eagles, while Barrow’s Piggy Pili netted 24 points.
