Nine-year-old Tilly Hileman is among a dozen anti-abortion demonstrators who conducted a protest march and candlelight vigil at Kenai Spur Highway and Bridge Access Road in Kenai Wednesday afternoon. Wednesday marked the 30th anniversary of the Supreme Court Roe vs. Wade decision legalizing abortion in the United States. Led by Alaska Right to Life activist Robert M. Bird, the protesters prayed and quietly walked up and down the sidewalk showing banners and "Stop Abortion" signs to passing motorists. "Today it's more passive -- more of a prayer vigil," said Bird in relation to more violent protests of the past.
