The Kardinals found themselves tied with the Moose midway through the third period, but Kenai was able to score a pair of goals down the stretch to secure the win.

The Stars were trailing the Knights 2-0 to start the third period before Johnny Mills tallied just 43 seconds into the frame, pulling Soldotna to within a goal.

Then, with just 27 seconds left in regulation, Brian Herring scored, sending the game to overtime, where Colony's Scott Beckman decided the game with a goal 2:43 into the extra period.

Kenai and Soldotna will stay in Wasilla for the weekend. Soldotna plays Palmer today and Wasilla Saturday while Kenai faces Wasilla today and Colony Saturday.
