Soccer tourney registration begins
Registration for the Peninsula Winter Games indoor soccer tournaments ends Tuesday. Games will be held Jan. 28 and 29. Playing times will be announced at later date.
Three tournaments will be held:
&midot; For children in grades six and under at Redoubt Elementary School in Soldotna. Teams are five-person and co-ed with an eight-person minimum.
&midot; Youth in grades seven and eight at Kenai Middle School. There will be separate boys and girls teams. Five-person teams with a minimum of eight per roster.
&midot; High school students at Soldotna High School. There will be separate boys and girls teams. Five-person teams with a minimum of eight per roster.

Social Security reps to visit area
Social Security Administration representatives will be on the Kenai Peninsula from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at Seward City Hall; from noon to 4 p.m. Wednesday at Kenai City Hall; and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at the Homer Senior Citizens Center.

Long-term, estate planning seminar slated
Waddell and Reed will host a free community seminar on the Medicare Part D prescription drug program at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Kenai Visitors and Cultural Center, 11471 Kenai Spur Highway. The featured speaker will be Timothy Ripp, director of long-term care, Associates of Clifton Park, N.Y. Seating is limited.

Soldotna High jazzes up desserts
The Soldotna High Jazz Band will presents its annual Jazz Band Dessert concerts at 7 p.m. Tuesday and Jan. 26. It is open to the public. Tickets may be purchased in advance by calling 262-7411.
CPGH board meeting scheduled

Teen Night planned in Nikiski
North Peninsula Recreation is offering Teen Night from 8 to 10 p.m. Friday at the Nikiski Community Recreation Center. Teen Night is open to youths ages 13 to 18 and costs $2 per participant.
