The Soldotna boys basketball team jumped out to a 15-point lead after eight minutes and never looked back in defeating visiting Nikiski, 83-42, in non-conference action on Tuesday night.
The Stars, who outscored the Bulldogs 29-12 in the third quarter, had five players reach double-digits in scoring. Ryan Shelton collected 13 points, Daniel Gellar added 12 and Brad Blossom, Matt Grubb and Liam Andrus all chipped in 10.
Evan Holloway and Brando Wik paced Nikiski with nine points apiece and Sheridan Olson netted eight.
The Soldotna girls also defeated visiting Nikiski on Tuesday.
Brooke Forsi scored a game-high 23 points, Amie Smithwick added 16 and Chelsea Hardcastle chipped in 15 as the visiting Eagles had little trouble with the Warriors on Tuesday.
Efrosia Yakunin collected a team-high 11 points for Nikolaevsk, which fell behind 24-15 at halftime and couldn't recover as they scored no points in the final frame.
SoHi sweeps NikiskiScott Litchfield collected a game-high 22 points in leading the visiting Eagles past the Warriors on Tuesday.
Owning a 48-22 advantage after three quarters, Cook Inlet was outscored by 10 points in the fourth but managed to hang on for the victory.
Cook Inlet's Dalton Johnson and Ryan Doyle added 10 and nine points, respectively. Markel Melkomukov paced Nikolaevsk with 18 points while Christopher Kalugin and Jonah Yakunin chipped in 11 and 10 points, respectively.
