Marijuana, alcohol seized in Point Hope

BARROW (AP) -- North Slope Borough police seized marijuana and liquor from a home in Point Hope during an investigation last week.
Police said they seized 117 individually packaged one-gram bags of marijuana, miscellaneous drug paraphernalia, $5,275 in cash, a 750-milliliter bottle of whiskey and a rifle.
The items were seized from the home of Helen Frankson, 24, and Lennie Lane, 27.
Lane was charged with possession of an alcoholic beverage in violation of a local option area.
No drug charges had been filed as of Wednesday.
Point Hope is on the Chukchi Sea about 320 miles southwest of Barrow.
