Moderate earthquake occurs near Yakutat

PALMER (AP) -- A moderate earthquake occurred Thursday about 30 miles northeast of Yakutat in Southeast Alaska, according to the Alaska Tsunami Warning Center in Palmer.

The earthquake occurred at 6:33 a.m. and had a preliminary magnitude of 4.3. There were no immediate reports that the earthquake was felt or caused damage.
