Earthquake rattles Interior

ANCHORAGE (AP) -- An earthquake initially measured at magnitude 5.5 rumbled through the Interior at 7:52 p.m. Thursday.

The West Coast and Alaska Tsunami Warning Center said the epicenter was 70 miles west of Tok.

The quake was 130 miles southeast of Fairbanks and the tsunami warning center said it received reports that residents there felt the ground move.

The epicenter was three miles deep.
