Kasilof Library thrives on public support

Posted: Monday, January 24, 2011

The Kasilof Public Library board would like to thank our patrons for their generous support during our recent fundraising effort. The library is located in Tustumena Elementary School. We are open four afternoons a week and have several computers available for public use. State grants and community donations allow us to expand our book collections and internet connection.

The Kasilof Public Library was created by a group of Kasilof residents in the early 1960s. We have moved locations over the years, but our mission of providing reading materials for information and recreation has not changed. Community support continues to be an integral part of our library.

The Library Board would also like to express appreciation to the staff and administration of Tustumena Elementary School. Principal Bob Vanderwege has continued with a generosity of spirit that we have come to rely on and we thank him.
