Anniversary celebration planned

Mo'adim -- Messianic Fellowship of Kenai will hold a celebration to commemorate the one year anniversary of their meeting. Congregational leader Roy Espy will share his calling from the Lord at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the basement of Good Books and More. For more information, call 283-5621 or 283-6421.

Clothing ministry open Saturday

The New 2 U Clothing Ministry will be open Saturday from noon to 3 p.m. offering clothing for children, women and men. The clothing is free to community members. To donate clothing or toys, call Joy at 262-0641.

Conference begins Saturday

Kalifonsky Christian Center invites the community to "Blow the Trumpet." The conference begins Saturday with prayer at 6:30 p.m. and a service at 7 p.m. Sunday through Feb. 3 there will be prayer at 10 a.m. and 6:30 p.m., followed by worship services at 10:30 a.m. and 7 p.m. There will be no evening services Feb. 3. Also, starting Saturday there will be a "24 hours of Praise and Worship" service beginning at 10 a.m. and continuing until 10 a.m. Sunday. Speakers from all over the globe will participate. There will be a presbytery Tuesday at 2 p.m. for leadership and one Jan. 31 for the congregation. For more information, call 283-9452.

New entrance dedicated at service

The new handicapped-accessible entrance at the United Methodist Church of the New Covenant in Kenai will be dedicated during the 11 a.m. worship service Sunday.

Everyone who worked on the project will be recognized during the dedication, which will be followed by a potluck in the fellowship hall. All are welcome to attend the service. For more information, call 283-7868.

Evening praise service to begin

Combining the talents of community musicians under the inspirational leadership of Pastor Randy Parshall, a new service of celebration and praise will start Sunday evening. It will be short and contemporary with music, and a simple reflection will be given by Parshall. The service will be held every Sunday from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Christ Lutheran Church near the "Y" in Soldotna.

Russian minister to speak in Soldotna

Joe Purcell, a missionary in Russia, will speak at the Soldotna First Assembly of God Church at 8:30 and 10:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. Sunday; and at 7 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. The Purcell family has been ministering in Siberia for nearly 10 years. Recently, Joe has been working to establish outreach in northern China. The church is on the Kenai Spur Highway behind The Salvation Army. A nursery is available for the 10:30 a.m. Sunday service.

Well Springs Ministries meetings set

Art Mathias of Well Springs Ministries will hold special meetings at the Abundant Life Assembly of God Church at Mile 81.5 of the Sterling Highway at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. Sunday and 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. Monday through Wednesday. Morning services will minister to the needs of others; evening services will minister on divine health.
