I do not care for Mr. (Les) Palmer's bias viewpoints on fishery management and allocation. As another native son of Puget Sound, it became apparent that development and ultimately disregard for habitat would advance the ruin of some of the most productive West Coast fisheries. King salmon over 100 pounds spawned in the upper Elwah River before it was dammed by a local paper company.
While we have watched the sacred Kenai loved to death and chosen not to learn from our mistakes. I most recently learned that trophy hunting is pornographic. I do not trophy hunt myself, but in all honesty if I were fortunate enough to dispatch a 65-inch bull moose, I don't think I'd leave the rack in the woods. I will suggest the Clarion rename the weekly column, "The Out of My Mind View."
