FAIRBANKS (AP) -- Four men have been arrested in Fairbanks on charges of sexually abusing two girls.
The men are accused of having sex and sexual contact with a 12-year-old girl and a 13-year-old girl in Fairbanks, Alaska State Troopers said.
Antwan L. Sanders, 25, Kenny K. Applewhite, 19, and Corey M. Faulkner, 24 are charged with multiple felonies related to sexual conduct with a minor. Troopers arrested a fourth man in connection with the case on Friday, troopers Investigator Eric Olsen said. The man's name was not immediately released.
According to criminal complaints filed in Applewhite's and Sanders' cases, the girls told Olsen they were sexually assaulted several times while staying at Faulkner's home on Jan. 13 and 14. The girls said seven men were at the home and that they were given alcohol, the court documents say.
The girls reportedly told the men they were 19 and 17 years old.
Olsen first contacted the girls on Jan. 14 at a Fred Meyer store in west Fairbanks, where the girls had been reported as runaways who had been found. The girls originally said they had been kidnapped, but that claim was incorrect, court documents state.
Olsen told the Fairbanks Daily News-Miner that the case is still under investigation.
Applewhite and Sanders were in custody at Fairbanks Correctional Center on one count of first-degree and two counts of second-degree sexual abuse of a minor. However, the charges they're facing could change when their cases go before a grand jury next week.
Before they were arrested on Thursday, Applewhite and Sanders both admitted to having sexual contact with at least one of the girls, according to the criminal complaints.
Faulkner has been indicted on five counts of first-degree and two counts of second-degree sexual abuse of a minor. He was arrested on Jan. 17.
