ANCHORAGE (AP) -- Three men suspected of making counterfeit state checks have been arrested in Anchorage.
Richard Austin, 32, and Aaron Sharp, 31, were arrested Friday on charges of bank fraud, the FBI said. Edward Bailey, 30, was arrested later Friday night.
The three men are suspected of creating counterfeit state checks in December and cashing them at local banks, FBI spokesman Eric Gonzalez said. The three also created fake IDs, he said.
The men are accused of cashing the checks totaling more than $100,000.
