Second quarter report cards were sent home Monday.
Ms. Biggs thanks everyone who helped with the brownie sale fund-raiser after the Christmas musical. The school is now half way to its goal of buying a baritone for the school.
The school bids a fond farewell to Linda Houglum and thanks her for her work as the schools ATB coordinator. The school says it is fortunate and pleased to welcome Janine Espy as its new coordinator.
The school thanks everyone who contributed to its tsunami relief fund-raiser drive, which collected more than $460 in 10 days. An anonymous, matching $500 contribution raised the total collected to almost $1,000. All money collected was given to the Alaska tsunami relief fund. The following students spent many hours rolling the coins collected: Lottie Barton, Britt Wilson, Alena Newgren, Evan Withrow, Kaitlyn Young, Morgan Lancaster, Mitchell Thompson and Shannon Wyatt.
Coins for computers raised $320. Funds will be used to help purchase computers for a student computer lab. Special thanks to everyone who donated.
Love of Reading Month and Bingo for Books are coming in February. Book donations will be greatly appreciated. Books for fifth- through eighth-grade reading levels are particularly needed.
Students who need help obtaining winter outerwear are asked let Mr. Syverson, Nurse Donna or the school office know.
