People on Social Security should get discount

Posted: Wednesday, January 26, 2011

For the second year now, Social Security recipients have not received an increase on their lifetime paid up insurance policy. While all the federal and state union workers think they should have the money replaced in their retirement accounts which was lost by the people who managed their retirement account stock market funds. I and millions of U.S. citizens did not receive any refund on the money we all lost in the falling market. A 5 -- 8-percent discount on everything purchased might help. Cost of living has gone up considerably, as the 18 eggs I purchased today was 42 cents higher than last week. It seems like the stores raise a penny or more frequently so that observant customers won't notice. Also, one of the largest tricks is to put on the shelf a smaller package at the same price as the old one was. We can't win as they all do it. The people in Washington, D.C. didn't study math when they went to school, especially the ones who compute the cost of living.
