Begich not representing people of Alaska

Posted: Wednesday, January 27, 2010

In response to Senator Begich's letter in "Voices of Alaska" he managed to pat himself on the back for voting for Democratic Party agenda items including the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (stimulus) and the Senate's health care bill. Voted for these even though the majority of people in the country and in Alaska didn't want them. Voted for them because he "owes" his position to the Democratic Party. His letter was nothing more than the rhetoric of the Democratic Party.

Wake up, Mr. Senator! The people of Alaska elected you, by a very small margin, due to the conviction of Senator Stevens (which was later dismissed). You were not elected by the Democratic Party that your puppet strings are attached to. It's a good thing you get a full retirement after one term in the Senate. You're performing there just as you did as Mayor of Anchorage. I wouldn't unpack all of your bags if I were you. I'm just saying ...
