Bingo for Books will be from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the gym. Redoubt students, staff, and their families are invited. Students must be accompanied by an adult. Book donations would be appreciated and can be dropped off at the school office.
Safeway is sponsoring Project Reward, a student incentive program. Through academic achievement, good citizenship and good attendance, all students will have the opportunity to earn "Student of the Quarter" status. All Students of the Quarter will be entered in a drawing for two $100 U.S. savings bonds and invited to attend a Project Reward honors assembly complete with popcorn, refreshments and a movie.
In addition to numerous donations of time, effort and goods, Safeway's $1,000 cash donation and Soldotna Wells Fargo's $3,000 cash donation have provided valuable opportunities to Redoubt students and many benefits to the school as a whole. The donations are part of Project Roadrunner (see story).
Local businesses may sponsor a page in the school yearbook for a minimum donation of $20. Parents, relatives and friends can dedicate a personal message to a Redoubt student for $10. Contact Ms. Haddix or Ms. Horton for more information.
School sweatshirts and T-shirts are available at the school office. Sweatshirts are $18, and T-shirts are $10.
Parent conferences will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Feb. 13 and 16. Forms confirming conference times will be sent home soon.
