The students enjoyed participating in Spiritual Life week. They now are getting back into their usual schedule.

Mrs. East's preschool through second-grade class is continuing to follow Flat Stanley's travels around the world. He currently is on his way to England. Next, he will go to New Zealand, while the students track his journey on a world map. Mrs. East's class also recently started a health and safety unit after having finished science for the year.

Mrs. Pribbenow's third- through fifth-grade class has just finished its nine-week exams. The fourth-graders are learning about rocks in science, while the fifth-graders are learning about engines. The fish tank community is welcoming a new and as of yet unnamed frog.

Mr. Toliver's sixth- through eighth-grade class finished history for the year and is starting science. The first chapter is on astronomy. The students are starting their movie-making class by drawing up storyboards of a short story in their literature books. Mr. Toliver is reading "The Hobbit" to his class, as well.

The second quarter report cards are out.

The fifth- and seventh-grade students who are signed up with Connections will take the Analytical Writing Assessment this week.
