Students in the Lower Learning Center had an exciting trip to the Alaska SeaLife Center in Seward earlier this week. After going on a scavenger hunt at the center, the children participated in a class titled "Think Thermal." They explored the different ways marine animals stay warm in Alaska waters.
The geography students need to have their oral and visual presentation about their European country of choice prepared by Monday.
The creative writing students are beginning to write three-paragraph narrative stories.
This Thursday, the boys' basketball team will play a home game against Port Lyons at 3:30 p.m.
This weekend, both of the basketball teams and the cheerleading squad will drive to Anchorage for games. On Friday, the girls' team plays at 4:30 p.m., and the boys' team plays at 6 p.m., both against Eagle River. On Saturday, the boys will play Cornerstone Christian at 10 a.m.
Courtney McGee and Jesse Puletau recently entered the 3,000s club. Megan Ruffridge has made it to the 1,000s club.
