Quilt exhibit scheduled

The third annual Kenai Quilt Exhibition will be held from Feb. 28 through April 8 at the Kenai Visitors and Cultural Center. Exhibitors may enter up to three pieces. Entries can be quilts, wall hangings, wearable art and polar fleece. Entry deadline is Feb. 4. Entry forms are available at the Kenai Fabric Center, Robin's Place Fabrics, Quilts Kits Alaska and the center. For more information, call Dana Woodard at 283-1991.

Refuge plans winter fun day

The Kenai National Wildlife Refuge will host a Family Winter Fun Day from 10 a.m. to noon Feb. 5 at the visitors center. Activities will include outdoor family games and indoor rafts. Also guided snowshoe activities for upper elementary students and their parents will be offered at 11 a.m.

Preregistration for the snowshoe event is required. The refuge will provide snowshoes. All activities are free. For more information, call Nicole Johnson at 262-7021.

BLM to hold public meetings

The Bureau of Land Management Anchorage field office will hold a public meeting for the Bay area Resource Management Plan and Environmental Impact Statement from 4 to 8 p.m. Feb. 7 at the Kenai River Center in Soldotna and from 2 to 5 p.m. Feb. 9 at the Alaska Islands and Ocean Visitor Center at Mile 95 of the Sterling Highway.
