CPGH board meeting set

The Central Peninsula General Hospital Inc. board of directors will hold its regularly scheduled meeting at 4:30 p.m. today in the Iliamna conference room at the hospital. The public is invited to attend. For a copy of the agenda visit www.cpgh.org.

Charter school info to be discussed

Builders association to meet

The Kenai Peninsula Builders Association will hold its January membership meeting at 6:30 p.m. today at Froso's in Soldotna. Representatives from the Alaska State Home Building Association will give a presentation on the new General Liability Insurance Program offered to members. All interest parties are invited to attend. Sportfishing group to discuss its future

The Alaska Sportfishing Recovery Group will hold a general membership meeting at 7 p.m. today at the Soldotna Elks Lodge. The topic of discussion will be the future of the the organization. All members are encouraged to attend. For more information, call Mel Krogseng at 262-2671.

KDLL elections slated

KDLL-FM Public Radio will hold its membership meeting and board of directors elections at 7 p.m. today at KDLL studios in the Economic Development District building, three miles north of Kenai. The meeting is open to all members.

SoHi to host dance show

The Soldotna High School Star Sensations Dance Team will present its annual dance show at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday at the SoHi auditorium. This year's show is titled, "Stayin' Alive." The team will be joined by guest dancers from area schools and dance studios. Admission is $5 at the door.

Subsistence management accepting nominations

The Office of Subsistence Management is accepting applications and nominations to fills seats on 10 regional advisory councils that advise the Federal Subsistence Board. The deadline for submitting applications is Feb. 6.

The council meets twice yearly. It advises the Federal Subsistence Board on subsistence management regulations and policies and serves as a forum for regional public involvement in federal subsistence management. There are 39 seats available on the regional advisory councils, representing subsistence, commercial and sports interests. Winter fun day planned

The Kenai National Wildlife Refuge will host a Winter Fun Day from 10 a.m. to noon Feb. 7 at the refuge visitors center. Activities will include family winter crafts and a guided snowshoe walk. The refuge will provide snowshoes for the walk. Participants are asked to dress for the weather. There is no fee. For more information, call 262-7021.

Social Security reps to visit area

Social Security Administration representatives will be on the Kenai Peninsula from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Feb. 10 at Seward City Hall; from noon to 4 p.m. Feb. 11 at Kenai City Hall; and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Feb. 12 at the Homer Senior Citizens Center.
