ANCHORAGE (AP) -- A Wasilla woman died Wednesday morning after her car crossed the centerline at Mile 9 of the Palmer-Wasilla Highway and was struck by a pickup truck.

Alaska State Troopers said Donna Graham, 66, was driving east and negotiating a turn just before Cottonwood Creek at about 11 a.m. when her Buick Century faded into oncoming traffic and was struck on the front passenger side by a westbound pickup truck.

Graham died at the scene. The driver of the truck was treated and released at Valley Hospital.

The highway was closed intermittently for three hours following the crash.
