ANCHORAGE (AP) -- A Chugiak man died from injuries sustained in a head-on collision on the Sterling Highway, Alaska State Troopers said Tuesday.
William Hrdlicka, 27, was a passenger Monday night in a car driven by 45-year-old Steven Dambacher of Kenai. Dambacher was passing a tractor trailer on the highway when he collided with another vehicle, troopers said.
Dambacher and the driver of the other vehicle sustained minor injuries, but Hrdlicka was seriously injured. He was taken to Providence Medical Center in Anchorage where he died Tuesday morning.
