Delores Christl

Longtime Alaskan and Kasilof resident Delores "Dolly" (Cole) Christl died Jan. 26, 2011, in Gadsden, Ala. She was 74.

A viewing will be held Friday, Feb. 4, 2011, from 4 -- 6 p.m., at Peninsula Memorial Chapel in Kenai.

Mrs. Christl was born May 21, 1936, in Anchorage. She was raised on the Kenai Peninsula most in the Kasilof and Kenai area. She graduated from Seward High School.

Dolly was a member of the Kasilof Historical Society and participated in the operation of Spruce Grove Cemetery in Kasilof.

Dolly was preceded in death by her parents and a granddaughter.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Robert "Bob" Christl; daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Alan Sharpe; sons and daughter-in-law, Robert Jr. and Mark and Ligia; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Arrangements were by Peninsula Memorial Chapel in Kenai.
