Many make volleyball camp a hit

In December, the Kenai Central High School and Kenai Middle School volleyball coaches offered a camp to area middle school students.

It was a rewarding experience to see our local youth willingly donate three days of their vacation time to help coach the "next generation" of volleyball players. These volunteers created a fun, safe and positive environment for the participants to learn more about volleyball, and without them the camp would not have been so successful.

We would like to thank the following businesses, organizations and people for making the camp a success this year: Carole Nolden, Coca Cola of Alaska, Gary Toombs, Arctic Winter Games boys volleyball players: Mark Walsworth, Morgan O'Connor, Brandt Apiki, Sammie Calderwood, Jamie Peterson, Katie Foley, Alex West, Kyla Steward, Hannah Delaney, Mariah Huhndorf, Molly Graves, Deandra Latz, Shelby Toombs, Kristina Taylor and Shaynee DeVito, KSRM and the Peninsula Clarion.
