Kids craft fair Saturday
Soldotna Community Schools and Soldotna High School National Honor Society will host free a make it and take it craft fair for kids in grades kindergarten through sixth from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at Soldotna Middle School. Kids will have an opportunity to create valentine and spring themed crafts.

Bus driver union to be discussed
School bus drivers on the Kenai Peninsula are invited to an informational meeting at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Aspen Hotel, 326 Binkley Circle in Soldotna, regarding the possibility of organizing as a Teamsters Union local.
Soldotna, Homer and Seward drivers are conducting the union organizing campaign. The group will have elections Feb. 20 and 21.
Food and beverages will be available.
Women's ski event set
Tsalteshi Trail Association will hold its fourth annual She Can Ski women's event Sunday at the Skyview High School trailhead. Women of all ages and ability levels are welcome. Festive dress is encouraged and prizes will be awarded. The event is a fundraiser for The LeeShore Center and the Tsalteshi Trails.
Beemuns will provide free ski-waxing for the event to the first 20 customers dropping off skis today.
The Skyview High School ski team also will be available to wax skis for donations during preregistration from 4 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. today at Kaladi Brothers in Soldotna. There will be expedited bib pick-up for preregistered participants prior to the race. Registration on race day will begin at 10:30 a.m. A 5K classic race begins at 11:30 a.m. followed by a 5K skate race at 12:30 p.m. Prizes will be awarded immediately following the races.
