Knights vanquish Mariners

The Colony Knights completed the Region III/4A sweep for the valley, knocking off the Homer boys and girls Saturday.

The Homer boys let a 28-16 lead slip away in the second half Saturday, as a parade of Knights stepped to the free throw line to pull ahead. Although the Mariners got 22 points from Luke Gilbert, Colony made 22 free throws against none for Homer to remain undefeated in Region III play.

The Homer girls were held to just 14 points in each half against Colony as the Knights notched a 44-28 win. Colony was led by Kristina Klapperich's 15 points, while Homer got 11 points from Bailey Lowney and 8 from Chantrelle Cousins.
