Congratulations to scholarship winners Jenna Zufelt and Thomas Minelga, who each will receive $1,500 from the Vera Horwath Memorial Scholarship; and Ramsey Arneson will receive $1,000 a year for two years from the Soldotna Chamber of Commerce. The students thank staff member Rhonda Orth for helping to prepare scholarship applications.

The students of the week are Brenner Furlong, for always being ready to smile; Isaac Estes, for improvement in writing; Hallie Symington, for leadership in singing; Kearstin Yarnes, for trying hard in all things; Ryan Kimball, for an A+ on the spelling test; Nathan Spence, for his thinking skills; Julie Litchfield, for leadership in the group project; Molly Fenton, for having a joyful attitude and a kind spirit; Skyler May, for all-around improvement; Chemaine Yarnes, for effort in the history review and test; and Adam Agosti, for a great job at make-up work and having a great attitude.

Parent-teacher conferences will be Feb. 10 and 11. The schedule was published in the school newspaper.

There will be no school Feb. 11.
