Kaleidoscope

Posted: Wednesday, February 02, 2005

There is a Web site available for you to see what is happening at school. Thanks to Stephani Green for her time in designing this. Visit www.kpbsd.k12.ak.us/kaleidoscope/.

If you have not turned in your form showing whether your child will return to Kaleidoscope next year, it needs to be returned to the office as soon as possible. The parent survey is due Friday.

Parent-teacher conferences are Feb. 10 and 11. There is no school for students.

Thursday, students will be taken by bus to Kenai Central High School for the Alaska Jr. Theater Presentation of "Sharon Katz and the Peace Train." The bus will depart at 9:15 and return at 11:15 a.m. Permission slips are needed.

Battle of the Books for the third-graders will be Thursday.

Mrs. Knudsen's and Mrs. Lafferty's first-graders entertained at the Forget-Me-Not Center on Tuesday with songs and poems.

Mrs. Shelden's and Mrs. Stroh's classes will perform at the Kenai Senior Citizens Center during lunch today.

The End of the Unit Celebration for second- and third-graders will be Friday. Mrs. Shelden's students will present at 10:30 a.m. and Mrs. Stroh's students will perform at 1:30 p.m. Let the teachers know if you are able to provide snacks for this event.

Students are working on research projects and have been writing a book about the gifts they give. They are continuing to practice geometry and began working with three-digit numbers.
