Community members interested in the process of finding a new principal should attend a meeting with Dr. Peterson on Thursday at 6 p.m. in the library. Peterson also will take comments about this position at her e-mail address, dpeterson@kpbsd.k12.ak.us by Feb. 11.

The site council is seeking nominations for three seats for parent representatives and one seat for a community member for the2005-06 school year. If you would like to nominate yourself or someone else, call Margie Warner or Linda Ralston at 776-3456. Nominations will be accepted during parent-teacher conferences. Elections are in April.

Seventh-grade students will take Tera Nova tests the mornings of Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Feb.14 and15.

Eighth-grade students will take NAEP tests Tuesday. Students need to arrive at school on time, and to have eaten a breakfast.Direct questions to the counseling office.

"C" team basketball will compete at Kenai Central High School on Thursday and junior varsity and varsity basketball will host ACS on Friday and Houston High on Saturday.

The hockey team will travel to Houston on Thursday, Friday and Saturday for region competition.

Cross-country skiing will compete at Skyview High School on Saturday.

Middle School Volleyball will travel to Homer on Thursday and will host Chapman on Tuesday.

Middle school wrestling will travel to Homer on Saturday.
