Kenai Peninsula Borough Mayor Dave Carey named Duane Bannock interim General Services Director while the borough searches for a new human resources manager at the assembly meeting Tuesday night.
Bannock will be filling in for the position left vacant by Bonita Miller, whom Carey terminated earlier this month.
Bannock is the current Spruce Bark Beetle program manager for the borough and previously was Carey's acting chief of staff after Hugh Chumley resigned last year.
