Saint Joseph's keeps perfect record intact

VILLANOVA, Pa. The perimeter trio of Jameer Nelson, Delonte West and Pat Carroll combined for 60 points and Saint Joseph's beat Villanova 74-67 Monday night to extend its school-record winning streak to 19 games.

The Hawks (19-0) and No. 2 Stanford (18-0) remain the only unbeaten teams in Division I.

No. 5 Connecticut 84, No. 18 Syracuse 56

HARTFORD, Conn. Emeka Okafor had 25 points, 11 rebounds and four blocks and Connecticut cruised to a win over Syracuse.

Okafor had his 14th double-double of the season, and 43rd of his career. Ben Gordon finished with 13 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists for the Huskies (18-3, 6-1 Big East), winners of eight of their last 12 meetings with the Orangemen.

No. 20 Kansas 65, Missouri 56

LAWRENCE, Kan. Wayne Simien had 18 points, including two free throws with 42 seconds left, and Kansas held on for a victory over rival Missouri.

Kansas (14-4, 6-1 Big 12) led by only one point at halftime and was never able to pull away until the final minutes in the spirited 97-year-old rivalry.


South Florida 89, No. 18 TCU 84

TAMPA, Fla. Jessica Dickson hit a 35-foot desperation shot to end the first overtime, then added nine more points in the second to lead South Florida past TCU Monday.

No. 2 Duke 78, Clemson 60

CLEMSON, S.C. Alana Beard scored 26 points and Duke beat Clemson for its 51st straight Atlantic Coast Conference victory.

No. 15 DePaul 90, East Carolina 74

GREENVILLE, N.C. Khara Smith scored 22 points and grabbed 12 rebounds to help DePaul rout East Carolina.

Charlene Smith, Khara Smith's cousin, had 19 points for the Blue Demons (19-2, 7-1 Conference USA), who went 21-for-22 from the free throw line. Ashley Luke added 13 points and 10 assists.

Courtney Willis scored 23 points and reserve Alisha Bench finished with 13 for the Pirates (14-6, 5-2).
