If the comedians can't make you forget it's still the dead of winter in Alaska, maybe the hypnotist can.
Kenai Peninsula College's Showcase program is offering double-billed entertainment at 7:30 p.m. Saturday in the Brockel Building with two performances for the price of one.
Watch your wallet, though. Comedy duo Spike and Hammer's jokes may relieve you of winter blahs while their magic tricks relieve you of your watch and other possessions all in good fun.
The duo is billed as one of Las Vegas' most requested comedy magic teams known for their card tricks, sharp wit and attention-and valuables-grabbing sleight-of-hand tricks.
Performing along with Spike and Hammer is comedian-hypnotist Daniel James. James is a veteran college performer and also has been a featured entertainer onboard several top cruise lines, including royal Caribbean, Carnival, Commodore and Royal Viking Cruise Lines.
He's also captivated audiences in night clubs and various corporate events.
Tickets are $15 for general admission and $13 for students, staff and seniors and available at the KPC Bookstore, River City Books in Soldotna and Copy Cats-Old Town Music in Kenai.
