Health fair supporters are a shot in the arm

Posted: Friday, February 03, 2006

On behalf of the Central Peninsula General Hospital I would like to thank the following for making the 2006 health fair a huge success:

To Glen Martin, owner of the Peninsula Center Mall, for donating the facility, ACS for providing computer line access during the event, Andrea from Alaska Hairlines for coordinating the community booths and Dr. Curt Buchholz for his medical direction and support.

I also would like to thank the 75-plus workers made up of CPGH employees, hospital auxiliary, Kenai Peninsula College paramedic program students and other volunteers for working the different stations and booths that were offered during the health fair.

To those who took advantage of what the health fair had to offer, thank you for taking an active role in your health. By coming to the health fair you have taken steps toward awareness concerning your individual health. We hope you found the screenings we were able to provide valuable.
