Public schools to be discussed

The Center for Mediation and Community Dialogue will hold its First Friday Dialogue at 7 p.m. today in the Kenai Peninsula College commons. The topic will be “What’s right with public schools.” A potluck dinner will precede the meeting at 6:30 p.m. It is open to the public.

Mushroom society meeting slated

The Kenai Peninsula Mycological Society will meet from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Cook Inlet Aquaculture Building on Kalifornsky Beach Road. It is open to the public.

Miners set to dig in

The local chapter for the Alaska Miners Association will meet from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday in Room 101 at Kenai Peninsula College. The topics will be events happening in the mining industry and demonstrations on mining technics.
