SOLDOTNA (AP) -- A Soldotna woman was found seriously injured in her home Saturday, according to Alaska State Troopers.
The woman, about 46 years old, had been beaten, sexually assaulted, and left for dead, troopers reported. Troopers said they were called just after noon after she was found in her home.
The unidentified woman was transported to an Anchorage hospital for treatment Saturday. Her condition improved Sunday, and she was listed in stable condition.
The woman was also able to talk with investigators, and troopers said they had a suspect, though no arrests had been made Sunday.
