Soldotna Senior Center volunteers honored for 5,429 hours of service

Soldotna Senior Center's recent Volunteer Awards Banquet honored and recognized volunteers and area businesses who dedicated 5,429 hours of service in 2003 in support of nutrition, transportation and support services for area seniors.

A special thank you to Soldotna Mayor Dave Carey for assisting with the awards banquet, the Alaska Young Marines for their exemplary job in serving the sit-down dinner and assisting with cleanup, Four on the Richter Scale Barbershop Quartet for singing and sharing their wonderful talent, Black & Silver for their special presentation and Jersey Subs for the great door prizes. Another big thank you to the volunteer kitchen staff, master of ceremonies, event planners and decorators for a job well done for this special occasion.
