College-bound high school students will have the opportunity to take the ACT Assessment on April 3. The registration postmark deadline is Feb. 27. The test fee is $26. The late registration postmark deadline, which requires an additional fee, is March 12.
The ACT is an achievement test in English, reading, math and science, measuring what students have learned in high school. Many colleges use ACT scores, along with high school grades, courses, cocurricular activities and other information to help determine admissions and course placement.
To register for the ACT, contact an area high school counselor or visit www.act.org.
