KP-PLUG to meet Tuesday

The Kenai Peninsula Public Land Users Group will meet Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. at the Cook Inlet Aquaculture Association building on Kalifornsky Beach Road.

The meeting is open to the public.

Bereavement group meeting planned

Little Lost Angels will hold a parents bereavement group at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at Bridges Community Resource Network in Soldotna.

The group is for parents who have lost a child. For more information, call Lisa at 260-4709.

Slide show slated at historical meeting

The Kasilof Historical Society will meet Thursday at Tustumena School. The business meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. with the program starting at 7. The group will have a representative of the Kenaitze Indians giving a slide presentation of Dena'ina history and culture. The meeting is open to the public. For more information, call 262-2439.

Healthy Communities meeting slated

Health Communities-Health People Steering Committee will hold a meeting at 1 p.m. Thursday at Bridges Community Resource Network in Soldotna. For more information, call 262-1831.

Gebhardt fund-raising event Friday

Paul and Evy Gebhardt will hold their annual Iditarod fund-raiser at 7 p.m. Friday at the Soldotna Sports Center.

There will be hors d'oeuvres, a no-host bar and an auction that includes many unique Iditarod memorabilia pieces. Hear tales from Paul's second-place finish in the 2000 Iditarod Dog Sled Race.

Charter school to conduct lottery

Aurora Borealis Charter School will conduct an enrollment lottery April 10. The lottery will determine the 2001-02 school year placement of students on the waiting list.

Applications and copies of the enrollment and lottery procedures are available at the school office from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

All enrollment application must be delivered in person to the school office no later than 4 p.m. March 16. The results will be posted at the school April 16.
