CPGH to hold blood drive

Central Peninsula General Hospital will hold a blood drive from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. today in the Iliamna Room at the hospital. For more information, call Amy Jackman at 260-5672.

Soroptimists to meet

The Soroptimist International of the Twin Cities will hold its monthly business meeting at 5:30 p.m. today at the Peninsula Christian Center at the corner of Farnsworth and Cohoe in Soldotna. For more information, call Brenda Northup at 260-6014.

Outdoors woman workshop set

The Alaska Department of Fish and Game's Becoming an Outdoors Woman will be held Friday through Sunday at Solid Rock Bible Camp near Soldotna.

The workshop will include 40 hands-on sessions, including firearm safety, field dressing of fish and game, fly fishing, snowmachining, chain saw safety, canning and smoking and winter camping. For more information, call Larry Lewis at 262-9368.

Indoor soccer registration deadline Friday

Registration deadline for the Boys and Girls Club indoor soccer league is Friday. Children ages 4 years through fifth grade are eligible. The season will run March 29 through May 15.

Registration forms are available online at www.positiveplaceforkids.com. Forms can be faxed to 283-8190. Interested community members also can register in person from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday at the club. For more information, call 283-2682.

Winter fun day planned

The Kenai National Wildlife Refuge will host a winter fun day from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at the refuge visitors center. Activities will include family winter crafts and a guided snowshoe walk. The refuge will provide snowshoes for the walk. Participants are asked to dress for the weather. There is no fee. For more information, call 262-7021.

Internet class canceled

The beginning internet class scheduled for Monday at the Kenai Community Library has been canceled. The next class will be held on March 1. For more information or to register, call Julie at 283-4378.
