Reader: Worst winter for roads

Posted: Tuesday, February 05, 2008

In reference to the letter from Dr. Turner in Jan. 31st's Letters to the Editor, I have a response: Amen!

I have been wondering the exact same thing: How many more deaths have to happen on our roads before they are finally maintained?

It sure would be nice to not have to drive in narrow ruts worn into ice, and it would be wonderful if the roads were plowed right after it snowed.

I have been thinking back, and I can't remember a winter in which the roads were maintained this poorly.
