The National Coalition for Women with Heart Disease will host a "Go Red" red dress fashion show at 7 p.m. Saturday in the Denali room at Central Peninsula Hospital. Admission price is $5. Tickets are available at Charlottes, River City Books, CPH gift shop or at the door.
Proceeds will benefit the Cardiac Patient Support Network at the hospital.
The community is invited to attend a Bead Party from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday at Elite Health and Fitness at Mile 16 of the Kenai Spur Highway. All proceeds will benefit the women of Uganda who make the beads and jewelry. For more information, call 283-2270 or 252-8842.
Jane Avery in conjunction with the Veterans of Foreign Wars is seeking quilters willing to help make quilts for area returning service men and women.
The quilts should be 50 inches by 60 inches wide, and 60 inches to 70 inches long, mostly patriotic fabrics, but quilters may choose, Alaska themes or others. Quilts should be completely finished.
At least 12 completed quilts are needed by May.
This will be an ongoing project as soldiers return to the area. For more information, call Jane Avery at 907-252-2794.

The LeeShore Center is in need of year-round volunteers for crisis and non-crisis programs and as office support. The center is also seeking individuals whom can help keep its Clothes donation closet in good order.
