KENAI (AP) -- The mayor of the Kenai Peninsula Borough Mayor announced this week he will seek a second three-year term.
Dale Bagley filed his letter of intent with the state so he could begin raising funds for his campaign well before the municipal election Oct. 1.
Bagley is the only candidate to file for the seat. Five people sought the job in 1999 and Bagley won his first term after defeating former legislator Mike Navarre in a runoff.
Bagley ran his first campaign on a platform of economic development and road improvements, plus putting more Kenai Peninsula land on the market. He said he will stump for the same issues this summer.
