Musician appreciates community support at recent CD release party

Posted: Friday, February 06, 2004

As I sit here and reflect on the wonderful time we had at my CD release party at the Ninilchik Fairgrounds, I feel I must, again, give my heartfelt thanks to all who braved the minus 20 degree weather to come out.

It was an awesome experience for me to see at least a hundred brave souls and kind people come down to show their support for our endeavor. May God bless you all.

In particular, I would like to thank a few people whose help was immeasurable: my wife, Terri; daughter, Brie; and many friends who helped pull it all together. I couldn't have done it without you.

Thanks to Doug Johnson and your Country Barn Dance Show on KWJG. I really appreciate the airtime, words of encouragement and showing up in support of the release party. For those of you who haven't caught Doug, the Bearded Scandinavian, his show airs Sunday evenings from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at 91.5 FM. It's a great local show worth checking out.

I also would like to thank J.R. Kitchens and Mike Silba for featuring local musicians on their Friday morning show "Local Spotlight" from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. on KWHQ at 100.1FM. And to the many friends and extended Ninilchik family who helped me along the way a hearty thank you!
