Woman glad for warm hand
I would like to express my gratitude to some very special people in my neighborhood. Last week I had the unfortunate opportunity to have an encounter with a moose on Kalifornsky Beach Road. That particular morning it was -20 below zero.
I was badly shaken, with part of my windshield in my lap, when I was finally able to pull my car to side of the road. Without hesitation, John and Ely Evanson and Neil Houser came to my rescue. It took close to two hours waiting for the trooper and filling out paperwork.
They insisted on driving my vehicle, with a gap in the windshield, back to my home while I rode in their warm pickup. Not once did they consider their comfort over mine. I feel very blessed to have had them cross my path that morning.
There were several other people who stopped to make sure I was okay and I thank you as well.
Couple grateful for fast response
A great big thank you to the Nikiski paramedics, the emergency room nurses, and doctors at Central Peninsula Hospital. To the nurses who took care of my husband Dan while in the hospital this past week (Danny, Jack, Denise, Cathy and the rest of the angels of mercy). A huge thank you for your great care and compassion. Our community should be made aware of what a great bunch of people are here to help us when medical emergencies arise. Once again please accept my heartfelt thank you and God bless each and every one of you.
