Arts event ends on a pleasant note

Posted: Wednesday, February 06, 2008

We are so fortunate in our small Alaska towns to have so many supporters of the arts. Two weeks ago, the Crossing Restaurant hosted a wine-tasting dinner/fundraiser for the Kenai Peninsula Orchestra, which was enhanced by music provided by local musicians and an art auction with works donated by local artists.

The diners were very generous in their support of the dinner, the art and the music. We are grateful to the community for your generous support, and to the musicians and artists, Kalgin Island Quartet, Jack Will and Sue Biggs, Emily Grossman, Erin Southwick, Ron Levy, JD Uponen, Bob Kuiper, Kathryn Zerbe, Libby Berezin, Frames 'n' Things, Jim Evenson, Steve Hileman and Charlissa Magen, our emcee for the evening.

A special thanks to Cherie and Scott Curry and the fantastic chefs and staff at the Crossing.
