Teen arraigned on manslaughter charge after hit-and-run death

ANCHORAGE (AP) -- A 17-year-old Anchorage girl was arraigned on a manslaughter charge in Anchorage Superior Court Tuesday in connection with a hit-and-run accident last month.

Emmalee McGee was charged in connection with the death of Noel Nollner, 70, on Jan. 28. Nollner was struck by a car as he crossed a busy street.

McGee was also charged with leaving the scene of the accident and driving without a license.

Investigators said McGee admitted to drinking alcohol before she drove.

She is being held on $100,000 bail.
