Hardaway trey puts New Jersey Nets away

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Tim Hardaway hit a go-ahead 3-pointer to ignite a game-ending 16-2 run that led the Dallas Mavericks to a 112-100 victory over the New Jersey Nets on Wednesday night.

Hardaway had seven of his 11 points in the run that led Dallas to a team record-tying seventh straight road win and ended the Nets' eight-game home winning streak.

Dallas, which shot 27-for-27 from the line and was coming off a 141-140 double-overtime victory over Indiana on Tuesday night, has won 23 of its last 28 games.

Kings 102, Celtics 85

BOSTON -- Peja Stojakovic scored 24 points and Vlade Divac had his seventh career triple-double to lead Sacramento past Boston.

Divac had 15 points, 14 rebounds and 10 assists for the Kings, who entered the All-Star break with an NBA-best record of 37-11.

Timberwolves 113, Trail Blazers 103

MINNEAPOLIS -- Wally Szczerbiak snapped out of his scoring slump with 30 points, six rebounds and five assists as Minnesota beat Portland for its third win in nine games.

Szczerbiak shot 11-for-16 from the floor and 5-for-5 from the foul line.

SuperSonics 90, Suns 79

SEATTLE -- Brent Barry scored 21 points and Vin Baker added 17 points and nine rebounds as Seattle snapped a three-game home losing streak with a victory over Phoenix.

Gary Payton added 11 points for the Sonics, who ended a four-game losing streak against the Phoenix.

Bulls 97, Lakers 89

LOS ANGELES -- Marcus Fizer scored 15 of his 21 points in the second half as Chicago beat two-time defending NBA champion Los Angeles for the second time this season.

Shaquille O'Neal sat out the Lakers' final game before the All-Star break to rest his aching feet, and was greatly missed.

Cavaliers 111, Rockets 109

CLEVELAND -- Andre Miller scored 31 points, and Lamond Murray scored the go-ahead basket with 21 seconds remaining and blocked a shot with 9 seconds left as Cleveland snapped a three-game losing streak with a win over Houston.

Steve Francis took Houston's last shot, a running 14-footer. The ball bounced around the rim and fell through the basket, but the referees ruled the shot came after time had expired.
