Oh baby, it's cold outside!

Hang in there, the end is in sight to this lengthy cold snap we're enduring. According to National Weather Service folks, clouds are on the way. They are what holds in the heat at night.

Although it seems like forever since we've seen double digits in the plus zone, Dave Vonderheide from the Weather Service says no records have been broken. That's hard to believe. Apparently the worst happened in 1947 and not again since then.

Forecasters say it will be sometime next week before temperatures return to more favorable figures.

On the up side, anything above zero feels warm.

On the down side? Punxsutawney Phil has predicted six more weeks of winter. Of course, in Alaska that sounds great.
